The Bar is still lovingly known as 'Mary's of The Glen'. The prior proprietor Mary McLaughlin and her family owning the premises from 1970-2010. Aengus Haughey is the current proprietor, bringing the 250 year old pub into a new culture and era.
After enjoying the rare ambience of the true Irish pub, the aroma of the restaurant will soon lure you to the back of the premises where you will be met by Cormac Walsh and his team in a spacious charming restaurant.
The Olde Glen Bar Bia Box is now open in the wee village serving sandwiches on different bread styles from a converted horse box at the rear of the bar. Our food is served in take-away compostable containers. You choose to enjoy in the bar, garden or take-away. Enjoy!
